How is an AI agent different from a chatbot?
An AI agent takes a goal and works out how to make progress on it. It can gather information, use tools, take several steps, and adapt when things change. A chatbot mostly answers when you ask, and you still drive the interaction. Say you tell an agent to follow up with every qualified lead this week and book consultations. It needs your CRM, your inbox, and your calendar, plus the context of what already happened.
How do several agents work together?
An orchestrator coordinates them, much like a manager across marketing, sales, scheduling, and finance. In Symphony, that orchestrator is called Maestro. I talk to one assistant, and Maestro coordinates specialist agents for outreach, marketing, scheduling, research, finance, and design. They share context, then bring recommendations to me. After I approve, they do the work in the background.
Do I still need regular automation?
Yes. If every booking should trigger the same confirmation email, plain automation is the right tool. Agentic AI helps when the next step depends on context. A cancellation might mean offering the slot to another customer, promoting the open time, or alerting the owner about a valuable booking.
What does it look like day to day?
Here is an example business I made up: a personal-training studio in Denver called Fieldhouse Fitness. Each morning, Symphony gives a daily brief: open Tuesday slots, leads with no follow-up, clients who have not rebooked. It recommends actions, and I review and approve them first. The flow is daily brief, opportunities, recommended actions, approval. I do not need an existing Wix website to use it, and it works from my phone.
What should you look for in a platform?
Check which tools it can access, how much business context it keeps, how well its agents share information, whether it brings opportunities to you without a prompt, and how much control you have. I care most about control. Meaningful actions should wait for your approval.
My take
An agentic AI platform moves you from isolated AI chats to a system that understands your goals, coordinates agents, and uses the tools your business already runs on. You delegate bigger outcomes and keep the important decisions.
