Making complex technology feel simple
I've been obsessed with making things for the internet since I was a kid. It started in 2008, when I posted a Guitar Hero gameplay recording on YouTube at just 8 years old. What began as a childhood hobby eventually became a career in design—and a lifelong habit of experimenting with new technology and sharing what I learn online.
Since then, I've designed products at MarkLogic and Aryaka, joined Mashgin as its first full-time designer to help shape AI-powered checkout experiences used by real people every day, and built a channel helping 30,000+ designers build with AI confidently.
Downloaded Photoshop. Discovered a knack for digital art, made graphics for my friends' social media profiles, and eventually started creating YouTube tutorials for designers.
Went to university. Graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelor's in Design after starting at Chico State. Contributed to some interesting student orgs along the way.
Dove into UX design. Worked as a UX intern at
MarkLogic during my senior year at UC Davis before starting my first full-time role at
Aryaka.
